1. Who we are
StoreMonk is a product of RiseMonk Technologies, providing AI-powered customer support, returns automation, and review management for Shopify and WordPress merchants. Contact: support@risemonk.com
2. Data we collect
Merchant data
- Name, email, and hashed password
- Store name, URL, and platform
- Policies entered in settings (return policy, shipping policy)
- Billing information processed by Shopify or Stripe
Customer support data (processed on behalf of merchants)
- Customer messages sent through the StoreMonk chat widget
- Customer name and email if provided
- Order data fetched from your Shopify store to answer customer questions
- Return requests and review submissions
3. How we use data
- To provide StoreMonk — AI replies, returns evaluation, review drafts
- To send transactional emails (CSAT surveys, review requests, notifications)
- To show ROI and usage stats in your dashboard
- We do NOT use your data to train AI models
4. Data sharing
- Anthropic: Messages processed by Claude API to generate responses. Anthropic does not train on API inputs.
- Shopify: OAuth access to your store data. Shopify processes subscription charges.
- Stripe: WordPress merchant payments only.
- Supabase: Database hosting.
- We do not sell or trade your data.
5. Data retention
Account data retained while active and 90 days after closure. On Shopify uninstall, all store data deleted within 48 hours (Shopify GDPR compliance).
6. Your rights (GDPR)
EEA residents have rights to access, rectify, erase, and port their data, and to object to processing. Email support@risemonk.com — we respond within 30 days.
7. CCPA (California)
California residents have the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
8. Security
HTTPS/TLS for all data in transit. bcrypt password hashing. Row-level database security. If you suspect a breach, contact us immediately.
9. Cookies
StoreMonk uses only essential session authentication cookies. No advertising or tracking cookies.
